Expectations and Routines

In our classroom, we spend several weeks at the beginning of the year going over expectations and practicing our routines and procedures. I believe upholding high expectations and consistency for students to keep everything running smoothly. Students will help author the class rules for the year and we will write and recite our class pledge daily to help us remember these promises to each other.

In order to create a classroom conducive to learning, a consistent plan must be in place. Anytime a classroom rule or expectation is broken, a consequence will be given. The consequences are as follows:
Step 1: Students are first given a warning 
Step 2: Students will be asked to take a break in a designated area of the room - they will have time to re-ground themselves and come back and join us when they are ready to learn and expectations
Step 3: At this point, the student would have
