Meet your Teacher
Hello, my name is Mrs. Krysta Swanger. I grew up in Cheney, Washington and came to Moscow to attend the University of Idaho (Go Vandals!) where I studied Elementary Education. I absolutely fell in love with Moscow while attending school here and I haven't left since! After Graduating, I was a substitute teacher for Moscow School District and worked at McDonald almost everyday. I came to know the teachers, students, and parents and knew that this was where I wanted to be! Finally, that day came...I started teaching third grade in 2014 and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!!! I believe in a balanced approach to teaching and learning including direct instruction as well as hands-on interactive learning. I use creative, energetic, and dynamic lessons to motivate students to be the best version of themselves that they can be! In return, I am motivated to be the best version of myself as well.

My husband, Scott, is a Moscow-area native and works as a graphic designer for Washington State University (Go Cougs, too!) We have an adorable little boy, named Cameron and a very crazy cat, named Stiles that keep us busy at home!
Outside of teaching, I like swimming, going to concerts, traveling, and camping. I also love to spend time with my family and friends!
